British soprano Lucy Mellors graduated with Distinction from the Opera Performance Masters at the Seligman Opera Studio at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in July 2018. Lucy is represented by Connaught Artists.

Roles include Norina Don Pasquale (Burry Court Opera), Zerlina Don Giovanni (cover, Longborough Festival Opera, d. Martin Constantine c. Thomas Blunt), Olympia/Antonia/Stella/Giulietta The Tales of Hoffmann (Grimeborn Festival, d. Maria Olmedo c. Juliane Gallant),  Pamina The Magic Flute (d. Martin Constantine c. Lucy is the 2017 winner of the Valetta Iacopi Aria Prize, the Dolan-Evans Memorial Prize, and the 2017 and 2018 winner of the David and Phillipa Seligman Award for Excellence.​

Concert performances include Bach St Matthew Passion, Vivaldi Gloria, Mozart Requiem, Mass in C Minor and Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, Dvořak Stabat Mater, Poulenc Gloria, Schubert Mass in G and Mendelssohn Hear My Prayer throughout Europe.

As an Assistant Director, Lucy has worked with Welsh National Opera on their production of Crew!, RWCMD for their production of Falstaff at the Sherman Theatre, and for English National Opera’s schools performances with ENO Opera Squad. Directing credits include Britten The Little Sweep for Pocket Opera, as well as Bute Park Opera’s double bill of Vaughan Williams Riders to the Sea & Berkeley A Dinner Engagement.

For three years Lucy was a member of The Pantaloons Theatre company performing in national tours of Much Ado About Nothing (Hero), Macbeth (Lady Macbeth), A Christmas Carol (Belle), Romeo and Juliet (Juliet/Tybalt), The Canterbury Tales (Second Nun/Emily), Grimm’s Fairy Tales (Dortchen) and The Importance of Being Earnest (Cecily).

Lucy studied with Anne Mason and Michael Pollock at the Seligman Opera Studio at RWCMD, graduating with a Distinction, and also holds a First Class Honours Degree in English & Drama from the University of Kent.
